The role of the Clas Ohlson Sustainability department is to define, align and operationalize the sustainability agenda across the whole business. The sustainability agenda is based on an understanding of our impacts and how we can create value for our stakeholders. At Clas Ohlson, the Sustainability department is a part of Corporate Communication, which is one out of six staff functions.
Our overall sustainability framework, From Here to Sustainability, comprises eight prioritised areas and outlines how we strategically tackle sustainability issues. We have made good progress in integrating social and environmental aspects into our strategy and our processes.
To take the next step in defining products and services helping customer living a little more consciously, Clas Ohlson is now recruiting a Sustainable Solutions Manager, with the main responsibility to support the execution of the sustainability strategy throughout our customer offering.
This is a permanent full-time position, with start according to agreement.
Defining criteria and assessing performance of products and services helping customers living more sustainable lifestyles. Developing claim support forming the bases for marketing communication.
Defining, supporting implementation and following-up on environmental targets and KPI’s.
Staying abreast of development about environmental issues.
Collecting and analyzing environmental data for sustainability reporting, including CDP reporting.
Are you the one we are looking for?
We are looking for someone who has a university degree in a relevant field and at least 7 years of business experience in sustainability, along with experience in working in an international matrix organization.
You have solid knowledge and experience of assessing environmental and/or social impact of materials, products and services. Experiences in data collection and quality assurance of data for sustainability reporting, including CDP reporting are valuable.
To be successful in this position you need to have good network and communication skills, with the ability to build good relationships with different functions, stakeholders and other departments within the company. Good skills in English and Swedish, both spoken and written, are required for this position. Knowledge in other languages such as; mandarin, german, finnish and/or norwegian is meritorious.
