The ideal candidate will be able to grasp complex and clinical topics and evidence across multiple treatment areas and product groups and spin them into marketing –friendly messages, concepts and content that can be used in multiple channels, drive interest and make them user-friendly.
The role’s focus is planning, producing and analyzing written content in line with business goals and communication plans for channels, including the web, social media, email, print and in-person, and will encompass many competing demands and deadlines. The role will deliver on these focus areas while also developing the editorial calendar and written language guidelines as well as using expertise in the field of content development to contribute to future content strategy plans.
At the same time, the copywriter will need to understand the regulatory constraints of writing within a medical devices company as well as the underlying business objectives of the company and the role marketing communications plays in helping deliver on those objectives. Also key is an ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment and communicate well across departments as well as with stakeholders in local markets and navigate the complexity of these relationships. The copywriter will ensure that content is completed in a timely, deadline-oriented manner and is on-brand, consistent in style, quality and tone of voice and appropriate for the user experience. A keen eye for detail and organization will be appreciated.
The position reports to the Global Content Creation Manager and is a full-time, permanent position.
Key Accountabilities:
Work in close cooperation with the Global Marketing Communications Managers and Global Marketing Managers in order to develop and implement communication plans through digital and offline media.
Create written content for brands or treatment areas, which include but are not limited to key messages, sales presentations, texts for web and social media (mainly LinkedIn), flyers, adaptations of clinical study summaries into simple key take-aways or web copy.
Edit and proofread content prior to publishing.
Plan written content for owned and paid media (web, social, blog) by developing and sharing editorial calendars with global and local stakeholders
Liaise with clinical and marketing stakeholders in order to plan and write relevant content for the Mölnlycke Health Care blog.
Develop, maintain and ensure written guidelines are followed and shared.
Contribute to the development and implementation of content strategies and content marketing.
Actively find and engage sources for content creation, both internally and externally in order to find and create relevant stories to strengthen the Mölnlycke brand.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, evidence and competitors in order to be more effective creating relevant content.
Ensure brand guidelines are followed and communication process is adhered to.
Profile:
University degree in journalism, marketing communications or equivalent
Minimum 5-10 years working experience of writing and editing for the web and media preferably within medical device or pharmaceutical business in an international company
Native English
Practical cross-functional experience within marketing
Experience of workflow processes
