The Business Area Market Operations & IT (M) is responsible for Energy Management of Statkraft’s assets, including analyses and long term price forecasts, and Trading & Origination. The Business Area includes Finance, Risk & Business Support and provides IT services for all of Statkraft.
Middle Office in M is organized within the Finance, Risk & Business Support function. The department is responsible for the risk management and control of Statkraft’s trading activities and European asset portfolios. In total we are 23 people from 9 different nationalities split between Oslo, Düsseldorf, Amsterdam and Stockholm.
As a Jr. Murex Business Analyst in Middle Office you will work throughout the whole value chain of Statkraft’s trading activities from a system and business perspective. On the job training will be provided including internal rotation in Middle Office.
Support, improve and develop Middle Office on the Nordic and European activities related to systems usage and business processes, e.g. on performance, financial and risk reporting
Support the business by improving and finding optimal solutions for the use of Murex Trading System and its interfacing systems
Support the change management process and ensure aligned deployment of technical fixes, solutions, new business activities or new products
Cultivate and develop best practice processes and governance for systems usage and business
Bridge between Business, IT and other stakeholders
The role requires travelling and extended stays at different locations are to be expected
Master degree, or similar, preferably within IT, Physics, Mathematics or Engineering
You are conscientious, hands-on and open
Some relevant working experience would be an advantage. Newly graduated candidates are welcome to apply
Good knowledge of applicable standard application in the industry e.g. Excel and Visio
Demonstrated skills in languages such as Python/C#/VBA, expert level is not required
Strong technical skills and genuine interest in building understanding of commodity markets, risk management and finance
Good communication skills. You will be working closely with highly competent colleagues across units and areas of expertise
Norwegian and English – fluent spoken and written
