Pulse International is looking for a Consultant Physician, Rehabilitation, for a 350-bed teaching hospital in the South Island.
This is a diverse and rewarding post, which may include additional teaching responsibilities with the University of Otago. The hospital has a close relationship with the university’s Medical School and there is significant potential for research.
The hospital is a Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Surgeons Integrated Training Programme site. It’s located in one of New Zealand’s most attractive locations within easy reach of just about every recreational activity you can imagine. It’s a great place to bring up a family - there’s something for everyone here. The successful candidate will join one other Consultant in the ISIS under 65's rehabilitation service. This service comprises a 16 bed ward, outpatient facility and dedicated Community Rehabilitation Team. The service's primary focus is neurological stroke and trauma but interests in other sub-specialties are welcome. Dunedin hospital is a tertiary level hospital and there is a close relationship between the Rehabilitation Service and the Neurosciences Department and Pain Clinic.
