Pulse International is looking for a Nurse Director for Women’s Nursing Services in an exciting new healthcare project in Qatar.
Job description:
Scheduled to open in 2013, the Sidra Medical and Research Centre will offer the latest technology and equipment to meet world-class standards in patient care, medical education and biomedical research. There will be a sophisticated clinical and translational research programme, general adult medical and surgical services and specialty care for women and children. The centre will be a teaching venue for medical students at Weill Cornell Medical College - a branch of the prestigious Ivy League university in New York.
(At this hospital – unusually for the Middle East - RNs at all levels are eligible for married / family contracts and school fees for up to four dependent children.)
Women’s Services will encompass over 227 inpatient beds over 15 wards, plus various outpatient areas and theatres.
Reporting to the Clinical Chief of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, the Director of Women’s Services has a pivotal role in coordination and management of inpatient services for women. The post holder will work as a key member of the hospital’s nursing management team and will assume 24-hour accountability for overall management of the delivery of quality nursing care
To achieve optimal patient outcomes.
The successful candidate for this post will be a Registered Nurse with the following:
· Master’s degree in a health care related field
· At least 10 years progressive experience managing Women’s Nursing
Services in an academic medical centre
· Experience in planning & implementation of high-risk paediatric transfers
· Demonstrated ability to articulate and advocate for perinatal patient-care
standards.
· Demonstrated ability to make oral and written presentations to diverse
audiences on women’s health care & organizational issues
Experience in international accreditation (for example, JCI) would be an advantage.
The tax-free salary range for this post is (approximately) £75,000 - £101,592 per annum.
