Summary: Management of all shift supervisors and responsibility for all areas of plant operations at Polypropylene (PP) and High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) plants located in city of Sumgait, Republic of Azerbaijan.
This position reports to Plant Manager and supervises production planning group, PP Production Supervisor, HDPE Production Supervisor and QA/QC function.
Hold direct responsibility for the production of PP and HDPE at the required volume and quality, monitoring product yields and material usage variances
Manage all operational aspects of PP and HDPE plants which operate 24/7, ensuring the efficient scheduling of all Operational activities for the plants
Oversee the work of the quality department to ensure effective quality control and assurance systems are in place and being executed
Management, training and competency reviewing of production personnel, QA/QC, Shipping/Receiving, etc
Ensure that the required number of direct labor is employed and well-trained
Develop and implement labor scheduling models to increase plant capacity during peak seasons, including the evaluation of full time and seasonal worker utilization
Manage the facility supplies and inventory and lead the inventory planning function
Housekeeping management ensuring that that the plants are always clean and safe in operation
Initiate and actively participate in continuous improvement programs
Direct and coordinate organization's financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency
Requirements:
10 to 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical industry with minimum 10 years in operations management in chemical manufacturing plant or oil and gas producing facility or onshore gas/oil processing plant
Track record and exposure to manufacturing production environment
Knowledge of relevant safety standards, safety procedures, regulatory rules, particularly in application of Permit to Work system
Understanding and working knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques (Kaizen, SMED, 5S, etc.) and statistical process improvement tools
University degree in engineering
High standard of written and spoken English and Azeri
Result driven and self-starter
Experience and knowledge of polypropylene and polyethylene production is advantageous but not mandatory
