Our Client, a successful oil and gas exploration and production company, is seeking experienced Rig Field Superintendents and Hoist Field Superintendents.
This opportunity offers a 4 year contract that has the potential for renewal. 28/28 Rotation is to Oman.
The Role
Our client is seeking Rig and Hoist Field Superintendents to lead well construction and maintenance activities on company-owned rigs units to deliver wells/remove production deferment as per work program within time and budget whilst maintaining company HSE, technical, quality and operational standards.
To manage, from within the Field, the interfaces between the disciplines involved in hydrocarbon delivery
To raise the competence of subordinate field supervisors through coaching and mentoring
To lead the company-owned workshop programme.
The following qualifications, skills and experience are required:
Bachelor of Engineering or higher with a minimum of 12 years oil and gas experience which includes at least 5 years experience working as a Drilling supervisor and an additional 5 years working as Rig Manager and Drilling Supervisor
OR:
Higher National Diploma (HND) in an Engineering Discipline with a minimum of 15 years experience with a minimum of 5 years Drilling Supervisor and another 5 years Rig Manager
Responsibilities for this role may include:
Manage the interfaces between Well Engineering, Field Production Team, Electrical and Civil Construction team, Logistics/Materials, Water Supply and HSE departments, optimizing allocation of resources and ensuring that operations are conducted in compliance with personal Health and Safety, Wells Process Safety and Environmental Protection Standards.
Lead from within the field the contract management processes, ensuring compliance of all provided services and materials with the relevant contract terms and conditions, as well as with Contracting and Procurement.
From within the field, coordinate the execution of well construction activities on the assigned work units and deliver “fit for purpose”, quality wells on time and within budget.
Minimize the need for operation engineer assistance by detailed understanding of the well requirements and general understanding of the field requirements. Review work programs and make sure operations are conducted as per work program.
Drive subordinates to keep equipment on company-owned work units in good working order, maintaining valid certification at all times.
Support supervisors in leading regular technical and HSE audits and inspections as per the audits plan and contractual requirements.
