Head Nurse, Inpatients, National Childrens Cancer, Riyadh

Job description:

Pulse International is looking for a Head Nurse for the Inpatient Unit of the King Fahad National Children’s Cancer Centre at the King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh.

The Children’s Cancer Centre offers the largest dedicated paediatric cancer and blood disorders progamme in the Arabian Peninsula and is the largest paediatric stem cell transplant centre. It is also the regional referral centre for complicated non-malignant haematological disorders. The Centre is modeled on St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Tennessee.

There are two inpatient care wards, an outpatient clinic, a drop-in clinic and a four-bed Paediatric Oncology ICU. Over 400 new cases are referred annually and the patients range in age from newborn to 13 years.

The successful candidate for this post will be a western-trained Registered Nurse with at least six years’ post-registration experience, to include two years in a similar role in this specialty area.

Senior Staff from the hospital will be in the UK at the end of March to meet interested candidates and to hold personal interviews. We’ll be hosting Open Days – in London on 23 March and Manchester on 24 March so this would be a great opportunity to come along and meet the hospital team, find out more about what’s on offer and have a personal interview with a senior manager from your specialty.
