Head of Master and Reference Data Management

CDO Group Digital Insights is a division within New Business. The CDO function is responsible for coordinating and aligning group wide efforts to deploy data technologies, process and organizational frameworks to manage data as a strategic asset. These capabilities will be critical to support next generation data driven digital consumer experience platforms (Grow the Bank), while also addressing data driven regulatory demands (Protect the Bank).

The head of the Master and Reference Data Management will lead a high performing team that will be responsible for developing and implementing a group wide solution blue print to support shared data assets focused on Master Data and Enterprise Referentials. Specific duties include:

Design and deploy an enterprise strategic solution blue print for master data and reference data capabilities
Drive the adoption of master and reference data into business processes to eliminate data silo’s
Capturing business impact of existing Master and Reference Data issues on a detailed architectural level
Evaluate business requests and facilitate process to seek options to ensure alignment with solution blueprint
Manage and maintain ongoing Master Data and Reference data platforms for operational and analytical needs
Aligning MDM and reference data architecture blueprints and concepts with the business and enterprise architects
Supporting ongoing communication strategy to drive effective Group information management
Membership of Data Governance forum with a focus on enterprise data domains e.g. Customer, Product, Account
Serve as an advocate and change agent for reference and master data across the organization
Actively participating in CDO management team meetings to resolve challenges and set strategic priorities
Creating effective work environment by developing a vision, setting clear objectives and performance management

Enterprise Architects
Technology Delivery Teams
CDO Management Team

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
5+ years of experience designing and implementing Master Data Management and Reference Data Platforms
5+ years in a senior management role, with transformation leadership experience
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Management preferred
Deep knowledge in Reference Data, Data Quality, Metadata Management, Data Taxonomy and Data Integration
Experience in creating, contributing to and reviewing Architecture documentation to support business solutions
Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and communication strategies
Data modelling approaches (e.g. 3NF relational, Kimball dimensional) and modelling tools
Provides leadership by exhibiting influence and expertise in the Master and Reference Data Management areas
Excellent personal communication skills capable of dealing with wide range of stakeholders – written and oral
Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
Proven ability to interact with senior management and to influence senior staff in order to push an agenda
Creative solution-minded with high energy and tenacity to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
Fluent in Norwegian and English
