Instruments & Controls Engineers job in Saudi Arabia

Attractive opportunities for a long term Contract Assignment + benefit of tax free salary payment. As part of a professional Project Management Team, of a major Oil and Gas operator, provide Instrument & ControlsEngineering expertise to coordinate and control construction (and design) issues, related to Oil, Gas or Petrochemicals project, in one of several of Saudi field locations.

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree holders with at least 10 years (HND/HNC 15 years) sound experience in this core engineering discipline.

And at least 5 years of Oil, Gas or Petrochemical direct construction related experience, of which at least 4 years spent in Middle East (or very similar) locations.

* Applicants must be UK passport holders, aged 55 or less (visa availability) who could fairly readily travel to attend technical interview in London or Houston most likely near end of Q1.

** Attractive day rate, usual overseas assignment benefits, 16 weeks /16 days’ Work/Leave rotation, tax free payments and paid approved overtime

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinates and controls project construction by continuous inspections of work progress for quality, workmanship and conformance with plans and specifications.

• Inspects and evaluates tests and procedures used in quality control program.

• Maintains a written field log of problems and directions given to Contractor.

• Ensures that Specified quality control inspections and functions are scheduled and performed.

• Verifies that all required erection drawings, standards, procedures and project specifications have been received by Contractor.

• Reviews drawings for compliance with standards and specifications and for constructability, recommends alternative construction methods where applicable.

• Reviews materials for compliance with project specification.

• Monitors safety programs and procedures as set forth in the Contract documents.

• Compiles or directs the compilation of various reports pertaining to project activity such as, project pictures, monthly narrative status of construction, contractor performance reports, damage to material or equipment, accident, personal injuries and financial status reports.

• Checks out the completion of construction; verifies that tests and inspections are complete; checks to see that final clean up and removal of excess material has been performed; and takes corrective action on items within scope of work or as reconciliation including final inventory.

Audit for compliance with Loss Prevention requirements to minimize losses to Client, the public, and the contractor *** Accomplished by assisting contractors in preparation of an effective Loss Control program; job site inspections to identify and correct unsafe acts and conditions which cause losses; and evaluating the effectiveness of the contractor’s safety program and recommending corrective action.
