A leading FMCG brand based in Glasgow. Overall Purpose of Job:Maintains information technology strategies by managing staff; researching and implementing technological strategic solutions.

Job description:

*Managing business application platforms and deployments in accordance with group standards.
*Management of Servers
*Management of the phone system & network infrastructure
*Manage relationships with suppliers or external contractors
*Management of the Remote Access & Security of IT systems
*Implement business continuity plan & backups
*Accomplishes results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
*Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; maintaining a safe and secure work environment; developing personal growth opportunities.
*Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments, suppliers and external contractors
*Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organisation outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
*Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective action.
*Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organisation standards.
*Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
*Must keep up to date with Technological advances
*Responsible for the IT Department in the absence of the Head of IT

The Successful Applicant:
*Must have Microsoft qualifications or extensive experience of working with Microsoft products
oMicrosoft Exchange/SQL/Server/Active Directory
oMicrosoft Office 20xx/Windows 7 deployment and Image management
oHyper-V
oDynamics CRM
*DELL Server/SAN infrastructure
*Cisco & Nortel switch and LAN/WAN/VLAN technologies
*Backup technologies
*Nortel phone systems
*Problem-solving and analytical ability
*Motivated self-starter, comfortable in fast-paced environment
*Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards
*Professional demeanour
*Technical expertise and knowledge of company products
*Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), and negotiating skills
*Strong leadership, motivation and managerial skills
