Job description:

Identify improvement activities to improve manufacturing processes and service levels so that all forms of waste are reduced.
Assess equipment & processes and collect & analyse data to determine current status and identify where processes can be improved.
Lead or participate in improvement teams to ensure projects are completed successfully, on time and within budget.
Implement Process Control systems which assure the quality of products delivered to the market place in a cost effective manner.
Provide technical support to Production on persistent or non routine problems by applying proven problem solving methodologies.
Provide support in evaluating processes/equipment through design and organisation of controlled experiments.
Maintain & improve knowledge of the core technologies in the process to support the continuous improvement strategy of the business.

Key Criteria:
Experienced in operating in a Manufacturing Environment with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
Ability to work across all functions and teams in the business and to persuade and motivate individuals and teams to deliver improvement actions.
Experienced in applying the concepts and practice of Continuous Improvement including Lean /Six Sigma/Statistical techniques.
A strong track record in achieving continuous/process improvements within a manufacturing environment and capable of leading improvement teams.

The Successful Applicant:
You will be educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant science or engineering discipline. An excellent communicator with highly developed verbal, written and presentation skills, you will be a practical and hands on person. Experienced within the manufacturing industry, the role requires you to be a team player with a positive attitude and a professional approach at all times. An expert in collation & analysis of Data you will have a proven track record in problem solving and implementing solutions. Experience is vital in the use of quality tools and techniques e.g. SPC, FMEA and poka yoke. Knowledge of elastomer sealing solutions or any related products is desirable.
