Safety Assurance Manager

Site Safety Assurance Manager – Rail – London – 12 months – Start ASAP Our client’s PC is responsible for the HSE management of the site and the works, and have their own qualified resources resident on site, and this role is not intended or required to mirror this.

Please also note that CDMC' /s have been appointed since the start of works on site.

The post holder will be required to (this is not an exhaustive list but is intended to illustrate the type of role):

assess what our PC intends to do in terms of HSE, and have the experience to recognise the appropriate levels of control required to manage each risk;
offer/suggest alternate solutions to issues if necessary/appropriate;
monitor the PC' /s progress against schedules, plans, work package programmes, etc;
carry out independent inspections and audits of site and systems, and to prepare reports and where necessary, action plans for the resolution of issues identified;
build/maintain relationships with both the PC and their subcontractors, CDMC, and our client (Crossrail) who are located on site;
build/maintain collaborative working with the above to ensure that the project is well managed and operates safely at all times;
assist in the investigation and close out of incidents and unsafe practice;
be able to prepare management reports and executive summaries for presentation to senior management;
