Senior Quantity Surveyor - Interiors Packages

You must have experience in setting up and developing Procurement Strategies. Must have previously worked on Commercial New Build schemes and Cat A fit outs;

About Our Client:

HB Reavis, with a turnover in excess of €1.2 bn. and with a staff count of over 400 employees, one of the leading commercial property developers in Central and Eastern Europe has completed the acquisition of 20 Farringdon Street .

This acquisition is HB Reavis' second in the UK market and follows the successful purchase of 33 Central, its newly re-branded development at 33 King William Street, in the City of London.

The site, which currently comprises a vacant nine storey 43,000 sq ft office building, has full planning permission for a brand new 12 storey office building totalling c. 75,000 sq ft. HB Reavis intends to commence demolition of the existing building as soon as possible with full build completion of the new scheme expected by early 2017.

Job Description:
Providing support to Design team relating to costs analysis;
Responsible to set correct and effectively accurate budget for tenders of appertaining branch;
Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect;
Setting up and developing Procurement strategy;
Managing tender process and meetings through all the stages of tendering;
Commercial and technical evaluation of tender bids, proposal for the selection;
Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks;
Creating contracts with selected contractors (using Master form of Trade contract);
Solving contractual claims;
Allocating work to subcontractors ;
Valuing completed work and arranging payments;
Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations;
Offering support /advice on property taxation;
Providing support/advice to Construction team during Construction period or Final inspections by Local authorities.

The Successful Applicant:
At least 5 year experience in role of Interiors Quantity surveyor / Cost consultant;
Experience with managing small team of people;
Detailed knowledge of past and current building and construction technology, business and legal matters;
MS Office, Outlook, Autocad;
Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills;
Skilled procurement negotiator;
Hands on approach;

Creative and innovative approach to problem-solving;
Trustworthiness and high ethical standards;
Negotiating and team-working skills and the ability to motivate and lead those on site;
Selecting companies for the tender;
Participation at selection of the preferred bidder of a tender.
