My client based in South East London is looking for an established Buyer ready to take their next step to Senior Buyer level. Customer service and experience is at the heart of my clients ethos and are looking for a buyer who is able to manage one of the companies largest categories and continue the brands values and category growth.

Job Description:
As a Senior Buyer - Kitchen Accessories & Cook working for this well loved retailer based in South East London you will be responsible for delivering the strategic direction set by the Head of Trading by developing and implementing it through the multi-channel range strategy in view of maximising the set financial business targets and deliver my clients market position relative to the competition.

You will be delivering my clients vision by understanding and leading the customers with innovative high quality well priced product solutions across their Kitchen & Home.

The Successful Applicant:
To be a successful candidate for this Senior Buyer - Kitchen Accessories & Cook you will be able to demonstrate;

You are highly organised and an experienced trader able to translate trading trends and market trends into sales opportunity in line with business proposition.
Strong understanding of Multi-channel Convenience Retailing with a proven track record in High Street / Food Retailing.
A strong understanding of the life cycle of a product in a seasonally reactive business.
Proven experience in Buying/Product Selection at buyer level for at least 3 years.
Experience of working in a multi-channel business.
Experienced in devising and delivering strategic and tactical development, sourcing, buying, marketing and sales plans.
Negotiation skills - proven ability to stretch all aspects of negotiation to deliver and exceed margin, profit and growth targets
Budget planning and proven track record in buying at the right price and the right time
Proven understanding of Far East Sourcing
Proven record of presenting at board level
