Senior Merchandiser - Fashion Retailer

About Our Client:

Our client is a fashion retailer based in North Yorkshire looking for a strong Merchandiser.

Job Description:
*Develop detailed budgets to cover Sales, Markdown, Margin and Intake

*Range plan and develop brands using historical analysis

*Forward forecast sales by line in order to maintain correct stock levels

*Promotion plan with Buyer & Retail team in order to achieve budgeted sales

*Prepare sale and promotion proposals as required in order to meet budget

*Business analysis carried out to determine trends and highlight performance at brand/garment category level taking action where necessary

*Ensure efficient stock management to hit agreed target stock levels, achieve maximum sell through, minimise markdown and keep terminal stock to a minimum.

*Ensure correct stock mix and markdown levels in order to maximise contribution to overheads based on set budget

*Prepare detailed phasing plans for distribution team so as to maximise sales and sell through for each product and make the best use of space in store

*Ensure all key product strategies are communicated to the retail teams

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
*Numeracy - Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
*Logical / systematic - clear reasoning for decision making
*Communication - written and verbal with all levels of seniority
*Adaptable - flexible to change
*Problem solving - able to provide solutions
*Commercial awareness
*Needs to be highly organised and self-motivated individual who works well on his or her own initiative yet is also seen as a confident and strong team player.
