DNB is in the lead when it comes to cloud adoption in the world of finance. Where others wait and see – we act! We have moved the payment app Vipps to the cloud, and our newly launched apps for Personal and Corporate customers are both based on cloud services. We are well on our way to building a cloud platform to better meet the future expectations of our customers.

IT PM is part of the IT organization building digital products for all of DNB’s personal customers. We believe that we work with the most exciting ideas, building products that will be used by over 2,1 million people in Norway.

One of the tasks ahead is to create scalable common services for User Identities, profiles and privacy by design within DNB and beyond. To start our journey, we are looking for Senior Software Engineers, who are able to blend business pragmatism with technical knowledge, to help us develop common platform components and turn that into business and platform services

About the role:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join a team of engaged and dedicated engineers who are working hard building and running scalable API-based services. You’ll participate in everything from design, implementation, quality assurance, testing, deployment, monitoring and documentation of the services we build and maintain. We focus on creating the best developer experience towards our services and contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing internally as well as externally.

You will participate in translating business needs into feasible platform services and products. Furthermore you will participate in interaction and demonstrate the ability to work across domains to facilitate important architectural and business decisions, and implementation of these internally and beyond to other units. You will also take an active role in defining future services/products related to the platform both commercially and technically.

In this role, you will play a significant role in exploring, defining and scaling our future revenue streams. We look for people with a growth mindseth who inspire colleagues and external partners, with a mix of humbleness, but also can take the lead.

Your experience:
You are a skilled full stack engineer, preferably with a good understanding of backend development. You are also great at working in cross-functional and virtual teams with people from other parts of the organization.

You should be passionate about technology and have a strong interest in learning about and playing with new technologies. Maybe you even have some side projects that you want to share with us?

You have a master or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cloud Computing or other related technical fields, or you have a interesting reason for not having one.

Fluency in Norwegian and/or English, both oral and written is important.

It is also a big plus if you have experience with one or more of the following:
JavaScript language and working in Node.js environments
Amazon Web Services (AWS)
DynamoDB or similar large scale databases and/or distributed computing
Terraform, GraphQL and serverless technologies
Designing, building and maintaining REST APIs for a SaaS, PaaS or IaaS company
Swagger/OpenAPI standards
Highly scalable server-side technologies
Agile development methods
Solid understanding of testing, continuous integration and deployment practices
Privacy and security by design
Identity and User Profiling
Demonstrated passion for user experience design and improved user-friendliness
Demonstrated passion for technology, continuous integration and delivery
