Subject Matter Expert (SME), Data Usage Management

Data Governance Services is a high performing team set up to manage all organization-wide data governance activities and will have responsibility for developing and implementing a strategy to improve the quality and protection of sensitive data and information assets. The position will focus on establishing and ensuring adherence to an enterprise data governance framework for data policies and practices, both at the department and Business and Functional areas to achieve the required level of consistency, quality and protection

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

The SME Data Asset Management role will be responsible for managing a framework for data asset management in DNB.

Managing the data footprint across the organization, enabling strategic value, what data is needed and where it resides
Understanding and enabling the business to access, extract and share data in an efficient and authorized manner
Develop framework for Data Asset Management
Support working groups with tools and solutions for Data Asset Management (Data Catalogue and Business Glossary)
Participate in development of data lifecycle management (DLM) framework and processes
Align data catalogue solutions to Enterprise Information Model
Conduct training of working groups and stakeholders

Head of Enterprise Information Architecture
Head of Master Data Management

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
5+ years of experience in a major services organization, with large-scale data management
5+ years of experience in Data Management
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, MIS, or Information Management preferred
2+ years of experience in Data Governance tools, preferably Collibra
Competency certificate on a data governance tools is advantageous
DAMAI CDMP certifications advantageous
Excellent personal communication skills capable of dealing with wide range of stakeholders – written and oral
Thorough understanding of data usage landscape and user groups
Proven ability to develop and promote frameworks and structures
Proven ability to drive progress and implement solutions
Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and communication strategies
Demonstrated capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness
Fluent in Norwegian and/or English
