Manage and develop the department so that long-term sustainable profitability is achieved by leading the department´s strategic planning, business development, budget process and business objectives work
Establish and maintain relevant control and feedback systems to monitor the operation of the department
Establish, maintain and develop strong long-term customer relations
Act as “business owner” in projects, towards customers
Ensure optimal capitalisation and utilisation of resources
Ensure practice of established work processes and procedures
Support HR in recruitment, develop career plans, motivation packages and people strategy
Drive and implement continuous improvements in business processes
Share and adopt best practices, cooperate with other Department Managers
Follow processes and routines in Semcon’s management system
Support in pre-sales and sales activities
Act as the first escalation for team managers/project coordinators
Support team managers in defining priorities, resolving project issues, conflicts, resourcing
Maintain transparent communication through regular department meetings and other channels
Requirements:
MSc or BSc degree within the technical field
Negotiation level in English, both written and oral
Relevant experience in a similar role, experience in the automotive industry is an advantage
Experience in project planning and project cost follow-up, solid understanding of financial analysis and control
Leadership experience/People Management experience
Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication skills
Good understanding of people behavior, people oriented personality
Confident, ability to build trust and confidence
Ability to “sense” challenges, problems and react fast to them
Good organizational and time-management skills
