Pulse International is looking for a Consultant Physician, Internal Medicine, for a 181-bed teaching hospital in the South Island.
Job description:
The hospital is one of New Zealand’s most modern (completely rebuilt six years ago). It’s secondary level facility with first class facilities such as an in-house radiological service with all modalities, extensive diagnostic facilities and excellent links to the closest tertiary centre in Dunedin.
The team of six physicians truly do deal with it all – sharing equally in an acute roster, providing both in-patient and out-patient services and pursuing their specialty interest. You’ll be well supported by Registrars and House Officers and participate in a 1:6 on-call roster and an average “take” of about 12 patients per day.
This area of the South Island offers a wide range of recreational activities. It is home to two of New Zealand's national parks, offering superb hiking and scenery. Internationally-acclaimed fishing and a wide range of other outdoor pursuits are also available. Five top New Zealand snowboarding/skiing destinations are also within easy driving distance.
Candidates should have completed their specialist training and be eligible for vocational registration with Medical Council of New Zealand. The post offers an attractive remuneration package, relocation assistance and CME allowance.
