Power Plant Manager job in Turkey
Our client is providing Engineering Services for a 4 x 340 mw Lignite (Coal) PP in Sothern Turkey to operate the entire facilities – a period of 20 years. In addition this will include the Construction and Operations of an extension 2 x350MW.
We are seeking to recruit a Mechanical Deputy Plant Manager to oversee the O&M of the Power Plant. Candidates should have broad international experience previously with coal fired power plants.
Preference will be given to those with experience of ALSTHOM/ABB and/or BBC turbines, the boilers are Babcock and the Electrical/Control systems are provided by Siemens.
The ideal candidate will have strong O&M experience including plant life extension and operational optimization.
This position offers career advancement to the position of Plant Manager, when the present incumbent retires during the next 12 months.
Job description:
Duties & Responsibilities include:
-In association with the Plant Manager, responsibility and accountability for the development of the PP
-Conduct feasibility for future growth
- Improve outrages planning
-People development skills retention.
-Compilation of operational/maintenance planning and respective procedures
- Implementation of operational/maintenance procedures
- Improvement of operational/maintenance strategy
- Preparation of work instructions for own staff
- Preparation and control of job orders for third party service providers
- Preparation and implementation of EHS-Procedures
- Compilation and control of the operational/maintenance budget
- Reporting on operational/maintenance activities and on plant/equipment status
- Application and improvement of a CMMS
- Direction of operational/maintenance staff
- Co-ordination of the operational/maintenance activities with other departments (Mechanical, Electrical and I&C)
- Securing of the availability of spares in co-operation with the warehouse and the Technical Office
- Management of workshop and related equipment, tools and tackles
- Securing of the safety for staff and plant during day to day maintenance as well as during non-routine repair measures
- Supervision of special third party service providers
- QA /QC for all maintenance measures
- Preservation of the plant performance
- Interface Management with experts from EPC ´s, designer ´s and OEM’s side
Following an initial 12 months assignment our client can offer an extension circa 4-5 years, in addition to a negotiable Salary & expatriate benefits continuity of employment.
