Night Manager
The Night Manager is the first point of contact for any general Management related queries that arise outside normal operating hours. The position has a Front Office focus but also has responsibility for the overall hotel operation in the absence of Functional Managers.
Specific responsibilities:
Be visible in the hotel lobby and other public areas
Represent the General Manager and other Senior Managers in their absence
Have a good knowledge of all security and emergency procedures and manage the instigation of these if required to do so
Deal with any management issues or emergencies that arise, record them as required and ensure there is follow up
Ensure that all guest complaints are dealt with promptly and followed up on
Support the Night Auditor with all Front Desk and accounting related duties
Make sure SOP’s are followed by the night team
Produce any nightly reports as required
Inform Departments of special requests, early/late departures, room changes etc
Maintain a good status awareness of all hotel areas
Profile:
Have a degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
Front Office supervisory experience in the hotel / leisure / retail sector
Good knowledge of Health & Safety and security procedures
Calm, efficient and the ability to work well under pressure
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Number literate
Knowledge of Opera Pms
Knowledge at least of two of the following languages French, English and Dutch, any other language will be an asset
