Procurement’s role is increasingly important in the current market situation and times of tough competition. Professional procurement; in terms of category expertise, sharing best practice and using an international supplier base can bring significant value to Skanska and strongly increase our competitive advantage. Nordic Procurement Unit has a key role in driving procurement in Skanska Nordics. Nordic Procurement Unit (NPU) is now looking for a Head of Nordic Sourcing Management

Job description:

The Head of Nordic Sourcing Management is expected to contribute to Skanska’s competitiveness in winning projects and strengthen the profitability by supporting Nordic coordination of category planning and sourcing within the Building, Civil and Indirect portfolios. The Head of Nordic Sourcing management drives also international procurement including International Purchasing Office in Poland and a purchasing company SSI, which is used for example international procurement. This requires active involvement and coordination with the NPU organization in each BU as well as in depth portfolio knowledge and international procurement expertise.

The role also includes a responsibility to drive procurement excellence in category planning and sourcing in the Nordics including maintaining and developing processes and tools within these areas. Finally there is a responsibility to consolidate procurement KPIs on a Nordic level and follow up the Nordic budget.

The position is part of NPU Management Team and reports to the Head of NPU.

Main areas of work and responsibilities:
- Own the category planning and strategic sourcing process.
- Coordinate category planning between the Nordic portfolios
- Make sure that appropriate data and tools are available for Nordic sourcing
- Evaluate, develop and follow-up the international purchasing strategy.
- Setting structure for international procurement
- Managing director for SSI
- Provide management information to NPU management team such as KPIs and other performance measurements
- Staff responsibility for all employees within the function
- Develop a high-performing team and motivate employees through continuous feedback and coaching
- Budget Responsibility

The position requires:
- At least 5 years of experience in purchasing function within the building - or other industry
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role including strategic planning
- In depth knowledge and experience within category planning.
- Experience in international procurement
- Skills to establish good relationships with internal stakeholders
- Fluent English
- Degree in Purchasing and/or Logistics is an advantage
