Pulse International is looking for a Charge Nurse for the Trauma Intensive Care Unit of a major Trauma Centre in Dubai.
Job description:
This is a very busy hospital with one of the largest Trauma Centres in the world - the A&E Department, with 40 RNs on duty every shift, sees over 400 patients per day - so, as you can imagine, all units within the hospital work to full capacity all the time..
Patients admitted to the unit have suffered multiple trauma and most have injuries to brain, chest, pelvis and long bones. The majority of patients are adult but a few children are treated so some paediatric experience is required..
Managed by a Canadian health care organization this is a great hospital to work in, with imaginative management, a highly motivated workforce and - despite the serious nature of the injuries treated - very low staff turnover.
The successful candidate for this post will be a Registered Nurse (degree) with a post-registration qualification in Critical / Intensive Care and 5 years post-registration experience, to include three year’s experience in Critical Care of acute trauma cases with some paediatric experience. Candidates should have completed, or be in the final stages of a Master’s degree.
