Pulse International is looking for a Nurse Manager for the Paediatric Neuroscience Unit of an exciting new healthcare project in Qatar

Job description:

Scheduled to open in 2013, the Sidra Medical and Research centre will offer the latest technology and equipment to meet world-class standards in patient care, medical education and biomedical research. There will be a sophisticated clinical and translational research programme, general adult medical and surgical services and specialty care for women and children. The centre will be a teaching venue for medical students at Weill Cornell Medical College - a branch of the prestigious Ivy League university in New York.

The 22-bed Neuroscience will provide a complete range of diagnostic and treatment services for children aged up to 18 years who require medical or surgical treatment for congenital or acquired neurological disorders.

Reporting to the Director of Children’s Services, the Unit Manager is responsible for the direction, administration and evaluation of patient care. He / she will play a major role in the implementation of the Sidra vision of family-centred care. As the project nears completion the role will change and after the centre opens the successful candidate will take on a senior operational role.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Nurse with a Master’s degree in Nursing or a Healthcare related subject and at least seven years progressive nursing management experience in Paediatric Neurosciences.

Experience in international accreditation, such as Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) would be an advantage.
