Procurement Specialist job in Singapore
As part of Adecco's global supplier agreement with this prestigious OEM giant, we currently have a role open for a a Lead procurement Specialist to drive multi-million dollar procurement and SCM initiatives across the region. Based on Sigma techniques and processes you will cover a variety of tasks to improve the global strategy which will affect the company worldwide. The successful candidate is expected to;
Develop global procurement strategies to affect corporate wide objectives.
Lead the process of identifying worldwide opportunities for high quality, low cost supply lines for components with an emphasis on world-class suppliers.
Develop and implement strategic sourcing roadmaps that support corporate product road maps.
Develop and facilitate major supplier relationships.
Lead cross-functional teams on formal supplier surveys to evaluate process capabilities, manufacturing capacity, QC procedures, technology leadership, and managerial and financial stability.
Lead supplier selection and associated contract negotiation.
Development and implementation of supplier agreements.
Establish and manage an aggressive cost reduction program for assigned responsibilities.
Foster relationships with our internal customers through open communication and follow-up.
Actively promote synergism between Sourcing, Research and Development Engineering, Design Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing and Manufacturing to drive products down faster learning curves.
Direct supplier early involvement initiatives in the design of new products.
Direct the participation of other portions of Sourcing in negotiating supplier partnerships, devising objectives and strategies.
Support cost-cutting and streamlining programs such as implementing rapid replenishment programs.
Direct the development, implementation, and maintenance of the preferred supplier list.
Manage and maintain a benchmarking program for each assigned sourcing group.
Provide limited technical expertise for Engineering and Sourcing.
Provide support in resolving supplier quality issues and technical problems.
Direct the Sourcing of tooling design services, tooling and fixtures.
Support corporate inventory management and ISO-9000 goals
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering - similar or related
Minimum of five years of experience as a Category Manager in Supply Chain environment
Advanced degree, preferably a MBA in Business or Engineering is advantageous
Six Sigma Black Belt for industry recognised process implementation
CPM and/or APICS certification
5+ years commodity management experience
Wide sourcing experience with mechanical, electromechanical, and electronics exposure desired
Previous experience with source and sell methdology highly desired
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent teaming abilities
Strong Contract negotiation experience
Strong communication and leadership skills dealing with a global cross-functional team
Ability to work comfortably in a highly matrix organizational environment
Experience implementing rapid replenishment programs
