Pulse International is looking for a Registered Nurse for the Stroke Unit of Al Ain Hospital.
Job description:
The hospital is situated in the centre of Al Ain - the ‘Garden City of the Persian Gulf’. It’s close to the Oman border, mid-way between Abu Dhabi and Dubai and is affiliated to both the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the UAE University and the clinics of the Medical University of Vienna and its teaching hospital.
Currently Al Ain is a 412-bed, modern, acute-care hospital. There are more than thirty-five medical departments, three family medicine centres and the Accident & Emergency Department sees an average of 450 patients per day. The hospital is internationally accredited by the Joint Commission of International Accreditation (JCIA).
The Stroke Unit of Al Ain Hospital is the first of its kind in the UAE and has been established in cooperation with the University's Medical Faculty staff. By integrating the emergency department, radiology and a multidisciplinary team of staff, the unit is able to deliver world-class stroke management services.
To meet growing demand and further improve standards of care, a new 688-bed hospital is now under construction and is due for completion in 2013. The new innovatively designed hospital is being built around lush oasis gardens and will be a regional centre of excellence in all forms of medicine.
The successful candidate for this post will be a Registered Nurse with at least two years post-registration experience.
