Job description:

HCL Permanent have interesting positions for Primary Care Physicians in London!

This modern NHS medical centre is situated in East Dulwich with a team of friendly staff, aspiring to provide the local community with the very highest standard of healthcare.

This is a permanent, Full-Time role. You will work 39 hours per week.

ROTA
Weekly hours as agreed. To participate in a clinical rota that embraces extended hours actual start/finish times to be worked in accordance with the published roster, this will include early, late and some weekend working.
Standard session (4 hours 20 minutes (subject to rota requirements):
Each standard session will include at least 18 face to face appointments maybe more at busier times.
‘Duty’ doctor: Duties include prescriptions, home visits and supporting the nursing team.

The Centre is in a great location, very close to local transport.

The centre is opened from Mondays to Fridays 08.00am to 06.30pm, Saturdays 09.00 to 12.00pm, Sundays – closed.

KEY TASKS:

  • To provide the full range of NHS Primary Medical Services to the patients registered to Concordia Health, temporary residents and patients presenting for immediately necessary treatment including clinical examination, diagnosis, treatment and referral as appropriate
  • To promote and maintain optimum health of the registered patient population of the Company by identifying, planning and undertaking specific health promotional activities with identified individuals and target groups in order to improve their health and facilitate further service development
  • To establish, develop and maintain appropriate systems for the management of patients with long-term conditions. To support, direct and manage the allocated Quality and Outcomes Framework team, ensuring delivery on specified performance elements
  • To ensure that record-keeping is managed through the creation and maintenance of concise, contemporaneous computerised records, and that all care is recorded accurately and in a timely fashion
  • To interpret and explain complex facts in relation to a patient’s condition, taking appropriate action and giving advice in a professional manner to team members, and when appropriate to family and other carers, in such a way that protects and preserves the patient’s dignity
  • To undertake screening procedures
  • To provide telephone consultations as required
  • To demonstrate critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning skills in clinical decision-making
  • To ensure the accurate completion of all necessary documentation associated with health care and practice administration

Requirements:

  • One year’s experience in UK general practice
  • Working within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Current full GMC Registration
  • Inclusion in the GMC GP Register
  • Evidence of CPD and further education/training
  • Evidence of professional updating
  • Evidence of post-registration training
  • Commitment to developing professional practice and skills
  • Prepared and flexible to travel between practices as required
  • Genuine commitment to improve quality in healthcare provision

Terms:

  • We offer a competitive salary (plus benefits) commensurate with experience
  • Base Salary £72,000 to £75,000 per annum plus £1,000 increase at the end of probation
  • The salary should rise based on agreed criteria e.g. post qualification experience, qualifications, agreed training
  • 5 weeks annual leave plus customary Bank/Public Holidays

  • MDU – the company will pay MDU fees through their Group Corporate policy worth approximately £6,00 per annum pro rata
  • GP will have access to NHS Pension Scheme Employer Contribution is currently 14%
