Senior Design Manager - East London

Well established blue-chip developer looking for a Senior Design Manager.

An excellent opportunity for a candidate with previous Senior Design/Technical Management experience to play a key part in the production of a luxurious, 2000-Unit residential scheme in East London.

You will need to have gained prior experience delivering high-spec RC Frame residential projects on a large scale. This role is with a prestigious, well established blue-chip developer, so relevant UK experience is essential. Though the role is an excellent opportunity to transfer from a Main Contractor into a Developer-side role which offers the chance to work on a flagship project.

The Senior Design Manager will report in directly to the Design Director and Technical Director, while managing the Design team, and maintaining an holistic view of the project's Design aspects.

Typical Responsibilities may include:

Recommendation of consultancy appointments
Management of the design process, through the entire process
Oversee the preparation of detailed design in accordance with client's requirements and contractor's proposals
Supervise the design development process and ensure engineering and buildability are accounted for
To ensure timely registration with warranty providers i.e. NHBC, Robust Details and Building Regulation Application
Maintain efficient issue of technical assessments, such as; CfSH/BREEAM information, warranties

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
Worked for either a residential developer or main contractor
Previous Senior Design/Technical experience
Strong residential development experience
Relevant CSCS card
Relevant further education qualification
