As one of two Joint Venture partners appointed as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) for the Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (RAPID) project, we are looking for highly skilled and committed professionals to join us in this endeavour.
Located in Pengerang, Johor, the RAPID project, an undertaking by PETRONAS, aims at building a world-scale integrated refinery and petrochemical complex to address the growing need for specialty chemicals and to meet the demand for petroleum and commodity petrochemical products in the Asia Pacific region
JOB PURPOSE :
Perform PMC activities involving Electrical Engineering & Design for Onshore Projects for Conceptual/FEED/ Detailed/ EPCC Work as Lead/ Senior Electrical Engineer for Onshore Projects Work as Pacakge Engineer for both Electrical and Mechanical Equipment.
REPORTING LINES AND INTERACTIONS:
Hierarchically reports to : Department Manager
Operationally reports to : Lead/ Senior Electrical Engineer
Directly supervises : Lead/ Senior Electrical Engineer
Key interactions (internally, externally):
Internally : Department Manager, Lead/ Senior Electrical Engineer, Designers, Drafters.
Externally : Other department Engineers and Designers, Project Engineers and Project Manager.
TYPICAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Must have:
Recognized Degree in Electrical Engineering and registered as Electrical Engineer with BEM
More than 10 years experience as Electrical Engineer in O&G Industries. Petchem
Nice to have: Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) with BEM. Site/ Construction experience.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Manage the performance of PROGRAMME MANAGER's construction / site personnel;
2. Construction review of CONTRACTOR(S)' plans and schedules and manpower proposals;
3. Review and monitor the field construction staff required for each PROJECT package;
4. Review the CONTRACTOR(S)' man loading plans to ensure that the WORKS will be done in a timely manner in accordance with the schedule;
5. Ensure that the CONTRACTOR(S) provides the required documentation of the CONTRACTOR(S)' daily activities, manpower, INSTALLATION, equipment and material on PROJECT SITE;
6. Coordinate the CONTRACTOR(S)' activities and his interfaces with other activities taking place concurrently at the RAPID SITE;
7. Monitor the day-to-day WORKS by the CONTRACTOR(S) to ensure compliance to procedures, standards, SPECIFICATIONS drawings, and adherence to the RAPID PROJECT requirements;
8. Hold regularly scheduled construction review meetings with the CONTRACTOR(S) and OWNER / PETRONAS, identifying problem areas and agreeing on corrective action to be taken;
9. Coordinate with Schedule Engineer to produce systematic analysis of the Construction Schedule. Produce weekly Construction Progress per discipline and overall, from information submitted (and checked) by CONTRACTOR(S). Produce trend report if progress shows signs of issues;
10. Review the achievement of the Payment Milestones linked to construction events and / or progress;
11. Organize the Hand-over documentation and participate with OWNER in the final Hand-over of the Units / Package and take a leading role for the Hand-over of the Units / Package
