Elkem Foundry Products is the leading metal treatment solution provider to the cast iron industry and a supplier of high quality special ferrosilicons to the steel industry. We are now looking for a suitable candidate to fill the position of “Technology Director – Elkem Foundry Products division”.
Areas of responsibility:
Ensure production units work systematically to continuously improve work processes and parameters with decisive impact on economic results
Support plants to establish and implement improvement programs and follow up results
Assist plants in utilizing Elkem resources and capabilities outside the business area
Ensure systematic work and a strategy to develop best technology for optimal productivity and availability
Follow-up of execution of large engineering projects
Required qualifications:
Higher technical education
Excellent knowledge and competence on production processes and product development and how they link value creation and profitability
Minimum 5-10 years relevant experience
Management experience
Knowledge and good understanding of principles for continuous improvement work
Good co-operation and communication skills
Fluency in English language
You will report to SVP Elkem Foundry Products division
