Vipps Business Development Manager – payment

Vipps is seeking an experienced Business Development professional to join the Vipps team to develop strategic partnerships with in-store and e-commerce merchants in Norway. Partnerships will be focused on securing acceptance of Vipps in merchant Apps. The candidate will work closely and effectively with Vipps business leaders, relations, product marketing, and engineering product teams to execute partnership strategies and close deals that impact core business metrics. Candidates should have experience building and sustaining strong, successful relationships across the in-store and e-commerce value chain.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience and knowledge of all aspects of payments including its inherent risks (e.g. fraud, acceptance costs) and issues (e.g. low conversion); understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem; emerging mobile payments. Demonstrate passion to ideate, create and deliver new, innovative customer experiences with merchants and their e-commerce vendors through the introduction of Vipps.

Description:

Participate internally on cross-functional teams to define partners, product requirements, negotiation strategies, and go-to-market launch programs. Continually manage partnerships delivering new feature enhancements and ongoing support to drive customer trial and usage. Provide regular communications to internal teams regarding partnership strategy and results.

Key Qualifications:
Ability to evangelize new payment products and technologies and effectively influence technical and non-technical decision makers
Direct experience working with (especially promoting payment product acceptance) various online merchant segments, PSPs, payment schemes (Visa, MC and BankAxept), and processors
Knowledge from the prizing mechanisms in payment schemes in Visa, MC and Bankaxept and experience from negotiations in these matters
Adept with technology and a strategic thinker - instinctively knows what is best for Vipps and the customer
Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance
