As a result of our continued success, we now have a vacancy for a Managing Director (MD) to cover Norway and Denmark. The MD will be based in Oslo and report to the Regional Director for EMEA North based in the UK.

This is a challenging role requiring the successful candidate to understand different cultures and markets in two countries, to drive the daily business and coach, motivate and engage the teams to reach corporate targets.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate a consistently strong performance in their professional careers and thrive in an inspiring performance driven sales environment. The position requires a profound understanding of an engineering environment, of finances and operations which will help the candidate to budget, forecast and report professionally and to develop and implement strategic targets together with his/her teams. Ansvar:

Drive the business in the two countries incl. sales and market penetration to achieve financial KPI’s, growth targets and strategic objectives for the product lines within the area of responsibility
Provide leadership and guidance to the management teams, in order to ensure well-functioning management groups in both countries
Responsible for developing and building a culture that keeps people motivated
Oversee the selling process including sales processes and tools to maximize effectiveness of organization
Establish personal connections with all key accounts and dealers to build long term business partnerships
Co-operate within a matrix structure between sales regions
Ensure that work processes are functioning well across the office departments
Recommend tactical plans and programs for the achievement of sales goals
Develop and implement sales distribution channels together with local management
Identify and recommend new products for the segments - based on the request for new business opportunities arising
Supports segment related marketing activities in the sales region

Education, qualifications and experience:
Commercial or technical background with a further education and in-depth knowledge in sales/channel management and at least 8-10 years industry experience in equal position or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong market knowledge within the industry in Norway and Denmark is desirable
Strong people management and leadership skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels and functions
Knowledge of both Norwegian and Danish working conditions and mentality is a pre-requisite (in addition, knowledge of other Scandinavian countries an advantage)
Approx. 50-60% domestic and international travel is required for this role

Language:
Fluent Norwegian and/or Danish as well as English skills are a requirement
